THE SONG KEEPERS is a remarkable film that documents the stories of four generations of women who make up the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir, and their first choir tour to Germany.
The film will be followed by a Q&A with Morris Stuart, Musical Director of the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir, and tutor at Big Sing in the Desert.
With MC John Paul Janke, co-host of NITV Australia’s The Point. Welcome to Country by Paul Girrawah House, Ngambri & Ngunnawal custodian. And short performances by Yuin choir Djinama Yilaga and Rachel Hore’s Pop Up Choir.
When: Wednesday June 8 from 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Bar open from 6pm. Tea, coffee, cake, snacks available.

Singing, Walking and Celtic Music in Lamington National Park
O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat QLD
4-11 September 2022
Welcome to our first venture into this gorgeous part of the world. Restore and replenish yourself in a week of singing and walking in the beautiful Lamington National Park, in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Our home for the week is the iconic O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat.
Our programme offers two music streams – singing or instrumental. There will be daily singing and choir workshops with Rachel, or Celtic music with Dave O’Neill.
Add to this guided bush walks of 1-3 hours exploring the National Park with Jo Cresswell and Woo O’ Reilly. The walks can be hilly but you can choose your level among the signed or guided walks.
O’Reilly’s offer a number of activities that you also are welcome to engage in. These include signed walking trails, massage, spas, facials, infinity pool, bird walks, a Flying Fox adventure, Birds of Prey show.

Two days of joyful singing on Darug country with Aunty Jacinta Tobin, Stacy-Jane Etal, Rachel Hore and Suze Pratten.
The weekend features singing in Darug language with Jacinta and Stacy-Jane as well as acapella songs and harmonies with Rachel and Suze. We will be singing on Darug Country, close to the shores of Deerubbin.
Dyarubbin is the Darug word for the Hawkesbury River.

Wintersong 2022

Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, we can’t bring you Wintersong this year. But we WILL be back. I have been missing our amazing Wintersong community.
Fabulous annual choral weekends of 100 plus singers, with Rachel Hore and Stephen Taberner. Two weekends to choose from. Both workshops are held at the Brahma Kumaris Centre, Leura, Blue Mountains, NSW.
Learn wonderful new choral arrangements, and explore the beautiful power of singing amongst 100 other singers. The Brahma Kumaris retreat centre provides a gorgeous backdrop of cosy fires, vegetarian food, misty walks through ghost gums and fabulous hospitality.
Experienced singers and beginners all welcome. Youth scholarships available. Choose from residential or non-residential accommodation options.
