Pop Up Choir – Canberra

Pop Up Choir is a great bunch of people coming together to sing a great bunch of songs, led by choral director Rachel Hore OAM. It’s fun, moving and inspiring.

We perform at various events in and around Canberra. We have sung at the National Portrait Gallery, the High Court of Australia, the Museum of Australian Democracy, Parliament House and ANU –  as well as various pop-up performances at places like the National Folk Festival, Majors Creek Festival, conferences, fetes and markets.

Pop Up Choir performed at the Al Sole Della Sardegna International Choral Festival in 2023 and we have been invited back to Italy in 2027 to perform at the Verona International Choral Festival. Members of the Pop Up Choir also toured to Fiji in 2025.

TERM 2, 2026 – Pending confirmation

Bookings for Term 2 are currently on hold pending confirmation of dates. Information about Term 2 dates will be posted here and circulated to current and returning choir members once available. 

To join us as a NEW member in 2026, please email jodie@rachelhore.com to be put on our Waiting List – tell us which part you sing (if you know) and your preferred rehearsal night. We will contact you when places become available.

Tuesdays – 6:00pm-7:30pm

VENUE

Main Hall – Ainslie Arts Centre Save & Exit
30 Elouera St
Braddon, ACT, 2612

Note that our VENUE is NOT the Gorman Arts Centre
Parking is limited in the Ainslie Arts Centre car park.
You can usually find a park at the BACK of the Art Centre, entry off  ELDER STREET, Braddon.
There is an open boom gate and carpark. Walk to the front of the Arts Centre to get in.

Conc: Term 2 TBC
Hardship/Student/Youth: Term 2 TBC – option to pay in instalments.

Concession prices low income – pension and concession card holders.
Choir fees include access to learning MP3s and scores.
*Prices include GST. Booking fees apply via Trybooking.
