Big Sing by the Sea 2020
Forster, NSW – 31 July – 2 August 2020
Worimi Elders, Forster Neighbourhood Centre and Big Sing Inc, invite you to share the fourth Big Sing by the Sea, a musical Worimi cultural experience where Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people sing and learn together.
For early starters, on Friday afternoon, by special request, there will be a spectacular Worimi Cultural Cruise (bookings required).
Singing begins on Saturday, guided by Rachel Hore, OAM, founder of Big Sing in the Desert. We will sing familiar songs, learn new ones, including some in Worimi language, Gathang. All this while we form a new singing community!
As well as singing there will be a fish BBQ, an art exhibition with art for sale, and other cultural events. Sunday day is all about polishing our singing so that we can demonstrate our collective awesomeness to friends and family at an afternoon concert, 2:30pm-3:30pm.
Bookings open here in March.
